Analog was born out of a quiet rebellion. As a physician, I became increasingly disillusioned with the reactive nature of Western medicine—its tendency to medicate symptoms rather than address root causes. I saw patients trapped in cycles of chronic illness, offered pills instead of support, and protocols instead of wisdom. I knew there had to be another way. I believe deeply that food is medicine, that knowledge is power, and that true health begins with prevention. These values became the foundation of my approach to wellness—and eventually, the blueprint for Analog. But this story isn’t just about medicine. It’s also about art.

I’m an artist drawn to slow, tactile processes—clay shaped by hand and cast in bronze through the ancient lost wax method; portraits made with the anachronistic wet plate collodion process, where silver and ether mix with sunlight and time. These practices, like plant medicine, require patience, presence, and care. They ask you to slow down, to engage fully, and to let the work unfold on its own terms. Analog came from that same space—a devotion to slowness, craft, and connection.

Much of the soul of Analog was shaped over morning coffee with my sister in her desert—horse whisperer and lifelong herbalist. For years, we’d sit together in the early hours, laughing, discussing art, philosophical ideas, mapping out the day ahead, and dreaming up the lives we wanted to live. These conversations were slow, joyful, and rooted in relationship. They were a ritual of their own.

Together, we began crafting a line of Superbrews designed to nourish the body and calm the mind—blends of mushrooms, adaptogens, and time-honored herbs. More than just an alternative to caffeine or sugar-laced drinks, they are a daily practice in resilience, clarity, and creativity.

Analog is the response to a world speeding up. A return to what’s real, grounded, and handmade. A product, yes—but also a philosophy. A small rebellion in favor of slowness, feeling, and the beautifully analog experience of being human.
